When Breakfast Together Is Worship...
Jul 29, 2010

And Nehemiah continued, "Go and celebrate with a feast of choice food and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." And the Levites, too, quieted the people, telling them, "Hush! Don't weep! For this is a sacred day." So the people went away to eat and drink at a festive meal, to share gifts of food, and to celebrate with great joy because they had heard God's words and understood them. (Nehemiah 8:10-12)

Some of us could use the joy of the Lord to strengthen us.  Some of us could use the reminder that God is our Provider and Sustainer.

So this Sunday we'll be celebrating together with choice foods and sweet drinks with Church & Breakfast in the Park. Church begins at 10am as usual. Park in the same theater parking lot and follow our signs to the right of the tennis courts and into the park. We'll spend our time worshipping through prayer, testimony, God's Word, Communion, and FOOD.  Did you know sharing a meal together can be worshipful?

It is Sundays like this that I believe we have a special opportunity to experience the Biblical, Christ-centered commmunity that Jesus called his church to be. It is here we can begin to connect in life-changing relationships, or to re-connect with each other and deepen our relationships. I am looking forward to connecting with YOU, communing as Christ's Body and celebrating His love for us and our love for one another this Sunday!

Refreshing in Christ with you,
- John
