Lead Pastor

John was born and raised in upstate New York. He graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and a future teammate in ministry – his wife Garricyn. John and Garricyn moved to Davis in 2000 so he could pursue his Ph.D. in Ecology at UC Davis. Throughout that time, John has served in ministry at Discovery and started The FellowShip College and Young Adults Ministries. Through his serving, he has felt God’s calling him into full-time ministry following the imminent completion of his Ph.D. John now serves as our Senior Pastor. He and Garricyn have a four-year old daughter named Kendall and a nine-month old son Maddox.

Aaron was born in Joplin, Missouri, but has lived in the Sacramento Area for most of his life. For those of you who have been counting, there are far too many words in his title. In short, he is passionate about worshiping Christ and feels that worship as a lifestyle is the church’s highest calling. He is married to Julie; and together they have a daughter named Presley who is two and have another baby girl on the way due on June 3rd. Aaron is a graduate of William Jessup University, where he earned a certificate in Music and Worship. Aaron loves movies, golf, UFC, art and would one day hope to meet his doppelganger (everybody has one you know).
